Streamlabs dropping frames, even when I have nothing but it running

streamlabs is giving me dropped frames in the 60 to 70% ranges,  even when it’s the only app running on my computer.  it started doing this a few weeks back,  with no rhyme or reason.  nothing changed,  it just started being unable to function,  and I’m completely baffled as to why.  I’ve tried auto configuring my settings,  a couple of the previous recommendations on similar issues,  and even a fresh install, but none of it’s working

I’m at a total loss,  and very disappointed I won’t be able to stream anything for the foreseable future, as I was just starting to grow my channel a bit,  and now is more a perfect time than ever

Hey @theimpatientstreamer,

You may want to try resetting you stream key on your streaming platform, the relog into Streamlabs OBS.

Furthermore, please check out this guide linked below and also check downdector.com to see if there are outages in your area for your streaming platform.

Hey @A_Pangender_Muffin,

Sorry to hear you are have issues here. Are you getting notifications of dropped frames in the lower left side of Streamlabs OBS? If so, that would most likely be an ISP issue and you should contact your internet provider.

We also have this comprehensive guide for issues such as this.

was streaming for a while today on my Apple computer using Streamlabs for Mac. And out of nowhere my stream kept freezing up on my viewers and kept buffering. They said they didn't have this issue with other streamers. Just mine. And when they watched my stream, they said it was frozen. This persisted for hours.   I'm using an ethernet cable instead of Wifi and I'm paying for 1000 mb internet. It has never been a problem until today. I didn't change any settings in streamlabs or any settings anywhere so I'm not sure what triggered this.  Ever since the issue started this afternoon, the performance metrics in streamlabs show red bars. It says "Your stream is experiencing issues." 10.1% CPU, 60 FPS, 652 (97.6%) Dropped frames. 0 kb/s.  I'm baffled why this has never been an issue before and why I can't resolve it after a few hours. A computer restart didn't work.   I'm googling the issue and trying suggested fixes. I tried turning off the modem/router. That didn't help. I tried hitting the reset button on the modem/router. That didn't work either. I've tried switching computers from an imac desktop to a laptop. That didn't fix it. I'm running Catalina 10.15.4 and I tried flushing the DNS with this command sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder; sleep 2; and that didnt work.   I'm trying to follow videos that tell me to change my preferences/settings in Streamlabs, but again, I've never had this issue and I've streamed for 10 weeks now without issue. So I think my settings are fine.   I'm trying just about every trick I can find online and nothing is working! Please help!!!
