Streamlabs can't capture games

Hello,

I have a problem with capturing some games( The Surge 2, RDR2, Warhammer 40k: Gladius etc.).

I try, probably, everything that I find in internet to fix this problem, but nothing helped.

I update my GPU drivers, try to change settings in OBS, run as administrator and nothing helped.

You can say: “ use Display Capture”, I did it works, but in my stream I got freezes.

Please help!

Best regards.

Hey again @NoobSnail,

Thank you for retrieving your benchmark information for us. That all looks good. I just want to make sure that you’ve actually installed the two C++ files. There was no need to delete them. Running the executables will give you a “Repair” option if already installed. This is necessary for both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions.

If after doing all of these things, you are still unable to use Game Capture on the games you mentioned I suggest you try Window Capture instead. The Game Capture source itself is a flawed source that is still in its experimental stages. Often it's best to use a different capture source, especially if Game Capture is not working for you. Either Window Capture or Display Capture should be sufficient alternatives for streaming with.

If you still need further help with this I suggest you make your way to our Discord server where we can provide real-time advice for how best to troubleshoot your issues.

Hey @NoobSnail Please make sure that you installed BOTH these c++ as they are both required. You can also try to delete your game capture, close Streamlabs OBS and run it as admin and add a new game capture using the mode “specific window” while your game is in windowed  borderless mode.

I did this. Nothing. c++ files says that I have latest versions. Recreate Game Capture done… Run As Admin - done. Borderless mode - done

Nothing...

Have you tried getting Streamlabs OBS full access through your Windows Firewall, to see if that would help with getting your game capture to work?

You can do this by following the how to guide for it: https://howto.streamlabs.com/streamlabs-in-general-21/windows-firewall-how-to-open-9

Hey there!

I know this has been discussed but I would like specific clarification.

Are you using a DESKTOP PC or a LAPTOP.

What version of Windows are you on?

Please provide a screenshot of:

Hey @NoobSnail

I noticed you said the C++ files were already installed. It’s very important that you RE-install BOTH of these. Restart your computer after doing this.

If that doesn’t work I’d like you to please run a benchmark test on your system. To do this, please make sure you close down every other program while running the test for the most accurate results.

You can find and install this benchmark test here…  http://www.userbenchmark.com/Software

Once it's finished it will upload your results on their site. Then, copy and paste the URL here for us to review.

Hello @Captain Frost  I delete previous C++ file and restart PC. Didn’t help =(

So here is URL for benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/22131424
