Hi there. i have the issue, when i start slobs it takes down my ingame fps from 100 to 144 down to 40 fps and in apps like discord i get crackling and blackouts from my friends mic. when slobs is closed then all issues are gone. also programs are working then pretty slow. don't know why. my pc has this issue just with slobs no other program is doing this. i can open multibel apps and games still works fine but when i open slobs it goes pretty bad. don't know what it is or how i can fix it.

Hey @stevotoki!

Have you tried running Streamlabs OBS as administrator by any chance? Usually that does the trick with fixing these types of issues.
@TheBritishAndy
Hi i run slobs always as administrator. Don't know what else it could be.

Hi there!
By any chance are you using 2 monitors at the same time? If so how many Hz are they?
Is it still doing this after you've capped your FPS?
Which game are you trying to capture when this issue occurs?
Hi im just using one an 144hz. Well sometimes all and sometimes just games like destiny 2 but most times all of them. Even if i have a 2080 grafic and an 2950x threadripper and a upload of 800mbits it lags a lot. I dit put it on x.264 it works better but i dont know why its lagging i tried all stuff youtube streamlabs on discord help. Forums nothing worked really.
I reinstalled slobs. It worked fine when i started slobs after the game but dont know if it works when i start the stream will try it out tonight. I hope it works.
So today i tryed it again still laggy and 3 to 6 lagged frames after 10 minutes even if i put the grafics down. Nothing works

Hey there @stevotoki!

I noticed that you deleted your latest post, I just want to check to see if you managed to resolve the issue you were having.
it looks like an admin deleted it.
i tested it out again with streamtest on and did a speed test also then. it has sill a lot drops when i am like in the main menu of apex and in the game a little less
dont know what else i should do

Try changing the encoder to Software and see if that does anything with the issue you are having, also another thing you can change it putting your Preset down to Quality or Performance and see if that changes anything also.
Did all that still same results

Hey @stevotoki The issue is that you are demanding too much from your graphic card, it cannot both ouput above 100fps on a 1440p resolution + output & encode your stream, especially with Apex.
Here are a few things you can do that should help:
- In game, change your V-sync to Adaptive 1/2
- Try doing a clean install of your graphic drivers*
- Right click your game capture source and go to properties, here you can tick "limit capture framerates"
- Lower your in-game settings to all low
- If on Windows 10, disable Game Mode and Game Bar (access by searching Game Mode in Windows 10 search bar)
- Enable Performance Mode in Streamlabs OBS
- Lower your resolution to 1600x900 or lower

*clean meaning when installing with the Nvidia driver and downloading it directly from their site, perform a custom installation and check the box for "Perform Clean Install".
I will try it tonight and see if it helps.
