How to delete cloud backup?

I recently added a VST to my mic and it has caused the crash on startup error. I have used 100% of the solutions provided for that issue and I’m now 100% certain it’s due to the fact that the cloud backup has the VST still on the mic as a filter as it is only linked to a single twitch account.

I’d rather start from scratch than to not be able to use my twitch account with this client at all.

Hey guys, thanks for all the effort you’ve put into this.

The bad VST was still on my computer, I am a dumdum.

Although I ran the uninstaller and clicked the checkbox to remove all data, it was still there after all. I opened up a new scene w/o logging in and looked through the VST filters and the dll was still there. FFS sorry for all the trouble.

Hey there @Ottorongo

We can look into restoring an alternate backup for you, what is your account name / streaming platform?

Same name as here, ottorongo on twitch

Issue still persists, awaiting reply, posting this so the topic doesn't get closed.

Which scene collection is the one that is crashing?

Which scene collection would you like us to restore that does not have this VST plugin linked to it.

The VST is on the AT2020 microphone itself no scene collections have it on.

I last streamed on the 24th and was toying around with VSTs the morning of the 25th (est) in case that helps.

I have zero problem with binning the entire backup if that's what needs to happen

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Edit:correct dates

Could you try removing the VST from the directory on your PC altogether and letting us know if it then loads properly or if it still detects as a filter on your mic?

Thanks!

All files removed as well as registry entries. Still crash on startup (loads for a second and fails to launch)

Hi there @Ottorongo!

So I see you have the following scene collections setup: Otto, Dark Matter By VBI & Scenes (1)

I see Otto is most active one and last backup is from January 24th before you added the VST, I went and restored the January 24th Otto scene collection for you.

Please check if you are able to turn on Streamlabs OBS with no issues now, if you are still experiencing issues then please do let us know.

Thanks!

@TheBritishAndy still crashing on startup with Twitch login Ottorongo. I was certain that was it. I even did everything from a new local account.

Hi there @Ottorongo!

Hmm ok it might be best then and if you don’t mind starting from scratch to delete your Streamlabs OBS cache, to this see if this will then help with the situation you are having.

I will send you over a DM here with the instructions on how to do this, once you have deleted your cache try and run Streamlabs OBS again as administrator and see if you can be able to get back onto the software.

Thanks!

Here is the instructions you will need in order to delete your cache:
1. Copy: " %appdata% " then Press the Windows Key on your keyboard, Press CTRL + V then Press Enter.

2. This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client "

3. Delete the slobs-client folder

4. Close out of your roaming folder & restart SLOBS as Administrator when launching.

So here's exactly what I've done:
1) All that you've stated above, on a new local account.
2) Deleted the Streamlabs connection in my Twitch account settings.
3) Instead of logging in immediately, I pressed skip and created a couple dummy scenes.

(I thought maybe slobs would carry them over to the cloud and overwrite the previous save?)
4) THEN attempted to login.

Here’s the result:

I’m at my wit’s end here.

Hey there @Ottorongo Ok let’s try something else, first you’ll need to remove the cache folder again and when login in select “import from OBS studio” (make sure that you have at least one scene before importing from it), you should be able to login like that, then go to your scene collection “manage all” and delete the scene collection that causes this issue.

Hello @Must ,

My issue is that I can’t login to my twitch account, Ottorongo, through the client. Before @TheBritishAndy removed the cloud backup(after an unsuccessful rollback) , it was crashing immediately on startup. Now, it loads and goes to the monocolored screen, never moving past it. Which is progress, but not what I would like. Streamlabs is by far my favorite OBS client and I’d like to be able to use all of its features. Soon, I will likely just stream without logging in, with a stream key. I’m moving closer to acceptance that I just may not be able to login.

All this because I added a VST to the microphone itself, via the Mixer; not to the microphone in a scene. You did, however, point out some buttons I didn’t know about so thanks for that.

Dropping most recent log, will return in a few hours

Hey guys, thanks for all the effort you’ve put into this.

The bad VST was still on my computer, I am a dumdum.

Although I ran the uninstaller and clicked the checkbox to remove all data, it was still there after all. I opened up a new scene w/o logging in and looked through the VST filters and the dll was still there. FFS sorry for all the trouble.
