Hey there!

Sorry you're facing this, can you make sure in Settings > Audio the DESKTOP DEVICE 1 is set CORRECTLY to your DEFAULT windows device? Please do not leave it at default.

I would also try turning off exclusivity - Right click your headphones and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box for Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device. You should also do this for your microphone.
Right-click your Windows Sound icon in your Taskbar, click Sounds. Click the Communications tab, and click Do nothing. Then try it out

Let us know if this helps!
Ok i will try this now thank you
WOW that seems to have worked! but it doesnt work with MK 11 but works with RE 2 Remake but nothing coming through headset, i have a headset with a mic attached if that helps, is MK 11 compatible with streamlabs?
It seems i can only get desktop audio through my speakers which is also my headset, so in other words my audio is coming through both, i see the lines on the mic moving but cant hear myself so i should be fine right? should i lower the desktop audio volume from 100?
Had to turn on monitor and output to get mic working but now i have an echo, how can i fix it?

Echoes usually occur when there is a monitor set in the mixer, ensure they are all set to
code:
Monitor Off

They can also occur due to custom audio devices set in your video capture device, ensure you have none selected: http://prntscr.com/kfl60h

If none of these resolve the issue, it could also be that you have your stream open (unmuted) in another browser window;
Or that you're listening to a recording device from within windows. Be sure to mute the stream and turn off this option: http://prntscr.com/kfl6ct
