Solved

Chat appears on the left side instead on the right side

This issue happend like 2 updates ago. Is it possible to fix it?
My guesse for why it happend is the fact that my PC's language is Hebrew, so everything goes from the right to the left (unlike most languages), but the issue happend only recently.
Thanks in advanced for any help

HI there!

Can you please try resizing your Streamlabs OBS window? Maximize/Minimize it and drag the sides in and out. This should resolve the issue.

Hey again!

You are not doing what I suggested.

Resizing it means clicking the maximize button a few times in the top right corner. Its the square icon.

Dragging the sides means that when it is NOT maximized, you click and hold the outside of the window and drag it in and out, not the arrow for the chat window.
Sorry but I got kinda confused so I just tried everything lol, is this what you meant? English is not my main language so it's kinda hard for me to understand everything correctly. I tried it again, draggin the sides and minimazing/maxmizing the window afterwards a few times, that didn't happen to solve the problem

Hi there!

Can you also try clearing your cache? You can do this in your Settings > General > Delete Cache and Restart

It will delete your scene collections though.
I tried that, some stuff look a little different now (maybe it's just due to the recent update, I didn't notice) but the chat remains on the left sadly
Edit: another change I noticed now is that in "Mixer" some text that was English before is now Hebrew, could be effect of the recent update as well)

Could you please screen shot this Hebrew text and send it to me?

Thanks!
Actually never mind about the Hebrew text, it appears to be happen only when I set the scene I imported from OBS studio (I did that before realizing that Streamlabs OBS actually saved my scene in it's cloud or something). It went back to normal after I switched back to the old Streamlabs OBS scene from before.
In any case, you can see the Hebrew text on the screenshot I uplodaed in the last post, instead of "desktop audio" it says "אודיו שולחן עבודה" (which is basically translation) and instead of Mic/Aux You can see "מיקרופון/Aux" (again, just a tranlation).

Please down download a fresh installer from our website:

https://streamlabs.com/
Not sure if I understood what you suggested correctly, but I uninstalled Streamlabs OBS, downloaded the installer file from the site "install beta" thing in green and instaled the program again. It didn't solve the problem sadly.

Could you enable "Show the live dock (chat) on the left side" in ⚙Settings > Appearance and see if that properly would hook the chat in the side-dock and hides when you collapse it? If that works, restart Streamlabs OBS as administrator and uncheck this to move the dock back to the right-side and see if the chat moves with it?
I tried that, after I enabled the option it looked the way you see in the screenshot
I tried just in csae to continue with the explnation, started it as admin and unchecked back again and it was back to the problem we had in the start sadly.

Out of curiosity, what is the current Windows System language and what region have you have set?

You can find this in the Windows settings > Time & Language.

I'm not sure if I explanied before, but the windows system I use is Hebrew system. It means that a lot of settings will be going from the right to the left unlike in English, since Hebrew is being writen from the right to the left. I added some translition on the screenshot so you can understand it but yeah that should be the reason for the problem as the same issue accured to another guy who has Hebrew system here: https://howto.streamlabs.com/topic/show?tid=1300&fid=9

Would you be willing to set the system language to English (United States) to see if that would resolve the issue or not, I will try this later on my own system as well, setting to Hebrew trying to reproduce the issue! 🙂
I gave it a shot, and yeah it solved the problem. I would appriciate if you guys manage to find a solution for "right to left" system users though, as I prefer my system to stay on Hebrew

The last update didn't seem to fix this issue. Is there still progress trying to fix it? Otherwise I can try to find a seperated softwere for chat only but it's a shame
