Before we get into solutions and breakdown of what happens when Streamlabs OBS crashes, lets get 3 things out of the way:
  1. Do not try to run Streamlabs OBS on a Mac(book) with bootcamp or on macOS with Wine. These are currently not supported and we cannot provide any assistance with this.
  2. Windows 7/8 Users: Please download and install .NET Framework 4.7.2
  3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 redistributable

4 general solutions that may help resolve the issue:
  1. If you are still having the issue, you could try to clear user data.
**Please contact a support representative before attempting to clear your cache in order to receive proper instructions and submit your existing cache for inspection.**

Hey so im experiencing something when i click on streamlabs obs something pops up saying looking for updates and then it closes, even when i click run as admin. please help.
When I first setup SLOBS in a two PC arrangement with the Fortnite box sending via NDI to SLOBS machine, everything was perfect.

Then I changed the network adaptor feed NDI used (two adaptors on source PC) restarted SLOBS and no video feed anymore. Even though if I used NDI Studio I can easily see the feed on the SLOBS machine.

Here is where it gets disappointing- if I uninstall SLOBS it doesn't really uninstall like it should. I have to go and delete folders afterwards so that when I re-install it doesn't pickup whatever is broken.

I can replicate the problem at will. Just about any change I make with the NDI feeds to something that doesn't work means it is permanent. I can't just change settings to what I had before and SLOBS works again.

You really need to get SLOBS to uninstall properly to make troubleshooting easier. PS, I would pay a hundred bucks to have rock solid working SLOBS with NDI.

OBS studio worked fine but is missing the easy setup of audio only feeds.

Please download the latest installer from the website and run this installer as administrator. Preferably do this after you rebooted your computer.

It is very common that uninstalling software does not delete any user data, which stays in the %appdata%, you can use "Delete Cache and Restart" option found in the General Settings which is basically the same as manually deleting %appdata%\slobs-client folder. As for the NDI issues, make sure both computers are on the NDI SDK 3.8 and both machines are on the same local network (e.g. same subnet and gateway) else active NDI streams on the network cannot be detected.
its works thanks dude🙌🏻
I tried all of these solutions and it is still not working... I get stuck at these two screens.

Hello there!

Have you made sure to try this last step as well?

Please know that this will mean that you need to login, redo your settings and potentially re-adjust your scenes/collections, depending on when the last cloud recovery backup was made
  1. Make sure Streamlabs OBS is closed and not running in the background in task manager.
  2. Copy: " %appdata% " (without quotes) then Press the Windows Key on your keyboard, Press CTRL + V then Press Enter. This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client "
  3. Delete the entire " slobs-client " folder. This will delete your cache and all current scenes and settings. If you wish, rename it to " _slobs-client " instead, to have a backup.
  4. Restart Streamlabs OBS as Administrator when launching. Redo the any settings that were not recovered via cloud recovery.
