First, here is the info on how to set up Streamlabels
https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/217176088-Setting-up-Stream-Labels

If your labels are not updating in Streamlabs OBS (SLOBS), please try the following:

  1. Delete the sources for the labels that are not updating.
  2. Add a New Source > + > Widgets > Stream Label > Pick the File via the Drop Menu.
  3. After doing that, the files should update once every 60 seconds or so. If that doesn't work....
  4. Go back into SLOBS > Logout (Top Right Corner) > Restart SLOBS (Run as admin if need) > Log Back In.
At this point your files should now be working. If not, check the solution at the bottom of this guide.

If your streamlabels are not updating or not launching:
  1. delete the Text Sources you created in your Streaming Software
  2. delete 2 folders: (1) Delete the folder with the text files that was created (The Streamlabels Output Folder) and (2) : %appdata%\Roaming\streamlabels

Now:
  1. Make sure your have the Latest Version of Streamlabels, which you can get at: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/streamlabels
  2. Install Streamlabels with the file you downloaded
  3. Log into Streamlabels and choose the output directory
  4. Add your Text Sources into your Streaming Software (OBS) using the output directory you have just chosen in the application.
  5. Now you can edit the format of the output data in the File Settings within the Streamlabels application.

The text files will only update about once every 60 seconds. Any manual edits to the text files will result in the files being overridden by the Streamlabels application. Tokens are case sensitive! Save your settings, then wait, as the changes will take about 60 seconds to appear.

If you're still having issues with files not being created and/or not updating, check to make sure you don't have any anti-virus software that may be interfering, if so you will need to add an exception in your anti-virus software for Streamlabels, which should resolve the issue.

It does update with new youtube subscribers, but when I go to properties there is no type drop down box so I can choose facebook followers.
This is what I get when I create a new stream label. There is no drop down to select the label type, or text file location.

@L_wonder Gaming Are you streaming to facebook? If so it is not available yet and you would need to use the stream labels stand alone application. It should be available in the near future!
Yes I am. I have installed the stream labels app, but I cannot change the banner text

@L_wonder Gaming Ok! So then for your faceboook streamlables you would need to select text gdi source (instead of streamlabel widget):
https://gyazo.com/eb31a27cee17c774bf65e4b54130acff

Then tick "read from file" and go to browse
https://gyazo.com/b2363adc9f0672703dd3087aa118709c

From there you're going to want to find your streamlabels application output folder and find the label you're looking for:

Select it and it will read from that file!

Here is a youtube video if you want more assistance or a walk through (it will be the same on OBS Studio as it is in Streamlabs OBS for this particular way of adding streamlabels, and although this is older it still functions the same way): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_w0TUhzaEIM
Thank you. I have tried that but the destination folder is empty. There are no text files there
Thank you so much for your help. I have managed to figure it out. The folder I was trying to use was located in the programme files of SLOBS. Which required administrator access. I have relocated the output folder to my desktop and now all the text files are generating. Seems like the files weren't generating in the programs folder due to limited access permissions. Thanks again for all your help.
