How to Migrate Your Mixer Account to Another Platform

We are sorry to hear about the closing of Mixer and sympathize with all of those affected by this sudden change. We have created a migration tool in order to make this transition as smooth as possible for all Mixer content creators. Here is a guide to assist you in understanding the process of migrating your Mixer account settings and data to another streaming account. 

 

**Your Streamlabs Prime subscription will be transferred to the new account when you use the migrate function. Please be sure that the Prime subscription is on your Mixer account before migrating your Mixer account to Twitch. If it is not, please contact support for assistance here

 

IMPORTANT: After changing your primary account, you may have a new Tip/Donation URL that is associated with your new platform account. You must update this URL anywhere you advertise your Tip/Donation link

  • Your Tip/donation URL is associated with the primary account- once you have changed your primary account your tip/donation URL will have changed. Be sure to find the new link here and adjust it to your Tip panel, or wherever you advertise your tip link.

 

Steps to Remove Mixer as Your Primary Account:

  • Note: You will only see the migrate option if you have Mixer set as your primary platform account.
  • From the account settings platforms page simply click the “migrate” button next to the account which you would like to be your new primary streaming account.

    If you already have the desired account linked, please unlink it, then use the migrate function. 

 

  • You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to migrate your history and settings to your new account.

 

 

  • Then you will be prompted to authenticate the account to which you are migrating.

 

You have successfully removed Mixer as your primary account. If you wish to unlink your Mixer account you can do so once completing these steps. All of your scene collections, settings, tip/donation history and Streamlabs Prime benefits (if applicable) should be present on your account.  

Note: Some Mixer event types do not have direct counterparts in your new platform. These event types will have default alert settings after the migration- you will need to re-customize these.
